Thanks to these images supplied by an unknown source, we now know that the Call of Duty Elite service will feature payment plans via the Xbox dashboard. The paid service, which includes free DLC, eight times the file sharing storage as the free version, and daily tournaments where they can win real-world and virtual prizes, will cost $49.99 per year. Alternately, you can pay 4000 Microsoft Points ($50.00), or purchase the Hardened edition of Modern Warfare 3 which will include a free 1 year subscription to the Elite service.

Periphurals This is overpriced. I love COD, but i think they're starting to take this to far. thats $60 for a game every year and now an extra $50 for a membership.

A membership thats not required, and a membership that gives you all the DLC for free. Black Ops had $60 worth of DLC, and this is only $50.

Do people actually look up stuff before they start posting shit?

seriously? that is way to expensive

ZAttack7 So Infinity Ward wants us to pay $50 a year when we already pay $60 dollars a year for xbox live? When they have all the same features as bungie.net and BF3's new Battlelog but these are free. So Modded Warfail 3 is bad and so is this boschitt

Wait so having an account on battlelog and bungie.net give you

- Free map packs
-New game modes and Spec Ops(or fire fight in halo, and whatever BF3 has if it has something) -missions will be provided
-Monthly content
-Direct video uploads to youtube, but with 8x more capacity?

MW2 had 2 map packs for $30 total
Black Ops had 4 map packs for a total of $60

With MW3 they promised more downloadable content. So $50 a year for all the map packs, and other stuff? Lmao get out of here with that ****.

Come on, lets be real.. We all know that Call of duty Elite is overpriced. I rather Spend it on Xbox live gold.

And we all know you are an obvious BF fan boy, so of course you're going to be opposed to anything COD. And how do you have 1.6k post when you just joined 4 months ago.

Anyway, considering i buy all the map packs, and i get the other features for premimum elite that i dont really care about to be honest, its worth it.

Now go back to the BF forum and post some tweets from DICEs twitter.

And if you cant come up with $50 in a year for XBL, i feel sorry for you.

So thinking that CoD Elite is over priced makes someone a BF fanboy. That's a little far fetch. Besides if you don't care, don't post, because you are just boosting your count and trying to put someone else down for their count.

If you have the money to afford it, good job. Some people have other matters to attend to rather than spending almost $100 to get all of the features out of one game.

No hes already a BF fan boy that will hate on everything thats COD. And its not overpriced, what dont you people seem to understand about that. Free map packs, free game modes, and other features. You would pay more for actual map packs then the service.

And i hate when people seem to think Elite premium is requried, it is not required. You already get all the features when you buy the game, you just got extra features for $50.

During the summer i had a job that payed $24 an hour but i only worked 5 hours a week. So i only had to work 5 hours to afford a year of elite and live which honestly isnt much.

And no im not posting to increase my post count, im posting to talk about the article.
i completely agree in the long run its cheaper, how much are the usual map packs.. there about 1200msp normally and they plan on bring out one every month so on average 1200msp is about 15 dollars so times 15 by 12 and you get 180 dollars so that would be the price without elite. plus with elite you get extras so you are saving alot.
well you guys dont get it, we already have to pay $60 for the game or more if you want the whatever edition, $60 or so on live and another $50 for random things that should just be included into the game?(Map packs can be discluded in that) but guns, game modes and whatnot cant be included into a $60 game?

And if you going to say people cant afford it, maybe thats not the problem maybe they just dont want to spend $160 on ONE game. Maybe they have a life outside of just playing call of duty? jesus christ its a game everyone needs to stop being **** to everyone.
And no im not a BF fanboy ive been playing cod since cod 2. Ive played bf for abou 2 weeks total in all.

What you dumbasses dont get is, its not required. And if your mommy and daddy wont pay $50 a year for it because they're already paying for live, to bad. Have fun spending $15 a month on MSP to try and buy the new map packs.

So just somebody who trashes cod and does not even mention BF is automaticly a BF fanboy? Thats just stupid. COD elite is over priced. We will need to pay an extra like $10-$20 bucks for "Member" features, so there is really no point in buying elite if member features are $10-$20 bucks.

He doesnt have to mention BF, his name is Frostbite. And if you dont think its worth it, then dont buy it, is that hard to understand?

You kids are sitting here bitching like you are required to pay $50 more a year just to play MW3.

If you want to spend $50 on every map pack, go ahead. I will spend it on elite and get the map packs for free and a whole bunch of other stuff.

DMR i think its fake maybe because there's no comma on the ms point number but there is on this

But if you look at the 3rd picture closely, you can see that he/she is running the upcoming dashboard. So it could be a new "feature".
