Shakedown: Hawaii is Coming to Wii and Wii U For Some Reason

5
Shakedown: Hawaii might be the last Wii game ever to release since Ubisoft said they will stop making Just Dance on the now retro console.

Well, this is something I did not expect to write about this beautiful Saturday morning. Shakedown: Hawaii is coming to the Wii, Wii U, and Steam later this summer.

Both of the versions will include all currently released content and updates, including the Mogul Update, the Full Tank update, and other tweaks that were implemented post-launch.

To top that off, both the Wii and Wii U version will be playable in 4:3 on your old CRT television. The Wii version can be played with just the remote turned sideways, the Classic Controller, and a GameCube controller. It will also be playable at both 50hz and 60hz. The Wii U version supports both SD and HD, 4:3 and 16:9, and players can use the Gamepad, Pro Controller, Wii Remote, Wii Classic Controller, or Wii Classic Controller Pro.

Fans can expect to see the game launch at $29.99 for the Wii on Thursday, July 9 at 10 am PT. It will be limited to 3,000 copies so if you are eager to grab one, make sure to subscribe to VBlank Entertainments email notifications so you can be ready to snag a copy.

The Wii U and Steam versions will release sometime the following month in August. A specific release date will be revealed at a later date.

It is pretty crazy to see a Wii game releasing in 2020. I have been trying to grow my collection of titles this year and this seems like the first real rare gem I can add to my collection since they will only be releasing 3,000 copies. The backstory on why the game is coming to the platform is interesting too.

Shakedown: Hawaii is currently available for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, PS4, PS Vita, and the Epic Game Store. The game will be coming to Wii, Wii U, and Steam later this summer.

I have not played on the Wii/Wii U for so long now, I remember playing Wii Sports with the family, I was good at bowling and tennis.

Miss "This Saturday morning..."?

Literally don't know any who purchases game o

Its Monday.

Do people still even purchase Wii games to make this worth their time?

Don't know anyone who purchases games on the Wii, seems pointless to me.

JoeIPosted:

What is the point in this? Game looks poor.

Was going to say no one will buy for $30 then seen it's limited at 30K copies so people will probably buy to keep for vintage or something ha.

Probably taken directly from source article. Also I highly doubt it.
