PSN download speeds also slowed in the US

PlayStation Network users in the US will face similar slowdowns to their friends in Europe.

Sony has confirmed that it’s extending its measures to preserve internet access to the US, by throttling PlayStation Network (PSN) download speeds in the country.

The platform holder posted an update to the decision made earlier this week to do the same in Europe.

The company said it will “continue to take appropriate action to do our part to help ensure internet stability.”

“We are grateful for the role we play in helping deliver a sense of community and entertainment in these very trying times,” added CEO Jim Ryan. Just like it is the case for Europe, we still don’t know when this will end.

Int 100% going to happen with the current pandemic forcing everyone to be at home. The companies should of prepared for this though to be honest.

You would be surprised. Xbox has gone down plenty of times since this has started as well as a few other platforms. I know blizzard was having issues a good amount as well.

Think we will start seeing this more often with companies as everyone is home. Hard to handle all of that at once.
