EA have released some details about the multiplayer modes you’ll find in Battlefield 3.

Battlefield 3 will feature a total of 5 modes that will span across 9 maps. The modes are, Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Rush, Squad Rush and Conquest.

Team Deathmatch is your standard affair, up to 24 players battling it out with no vehicles.

Squad Deathmatch will hold up to 16 players and will be split into 4 teams of 4. Each team will also have their own Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV).

Rush is popular amongst the Bad Company players out there. It will feature 24 players on consoles and 32 on PC. The aim is to either attack M-COM stations and progress through the map or stop the other team from doing so. Each team takes it in turns to attack and defend,

Squad Rush is almost exactly the same as standard Rush except with fewer players – 8 – and fewer M-COM stations.

Lastly, Conquest will feature 24 players on console or up to 64 on PC. This is the mode for the full out warfare, it’ll feature all sorts of vehicles allowing you to cause mayhem. The aim is to remove all of the enemies tickets. To remove tickets you can either kill them a lot or capture and hold enemy flags.

As well as these modes there’s also Hardcore and Infantry modes. These can be selected on any of the modes or maps and will slightly effect the game modes depending on which one you choose. They’re fairly straight forward, Infantry mode will remove all of the vehicles and Harcore mode will reduce the damage you can take which turns the game into a more tactical affair.

shadow1 I love how Cod fanboys call BF fanboys little kids for trash talking games while they do it them selves. Cant you guys just think for a second? Each game has its unique variety. BF is great with large battles on large maps, but still has a action every second. Also when people think of large maps and saying it is trash have never played a BF game.

In, lets say rush, you have one small portion on the map opened. Once you take 2 objectives down, a spawn for defenders open up and some times the first spawn for attackers closes. At most, there are 3 small portions of the map opened.

Cod is also good. Despite its constant gameplay since the horrible MW2 and BO, many people who played it says it has more of a Cod4 flow and feeling instead of a MW2 feeling. We all know Cod 4 was one of the best (WaW in my eyes being the best, just because i love WW2) out there so it will be good to get one of those back.

Either way, both games are going to have its flaws and good times, but thats just a nature of gaming. No game has no flaws besides pong or pac man.

You guys are all missing the point of this article. It's not intended to start a flame war; it's intention was to let Battlefield fans know that DICE was thinking of us when making the game. That they listened to our feedback. Just like MW3 did; GAME MAKERs are starting to listen to us more and more.

The flaming is beyond ludicrous and childish. If you don't like BF3 then don't comment saying how bad it's going to be. Same goes for BF3 fans, if you don't like MW3 then don't comment on there articles. It's a waste of time flaming others for what ends up as a warning/ban.

I love the MW3 vs. BF3 Fanboy wars. Personally I won't be getting BF3, because I prefer CoD, but it still looks like it will be an amazing game. Why can't people just admit both games are good IN THEIR OWN WAYS. After all, they are 2 different games and in no way should be compared. It is like comparing Halo to CoD or BF, the only similarities that should be compared is that they're first person shooters. Both games will sell, millions will play them, so get over it.
