DuckTales: Remastered Has Returned to Digital Storefronts

3.9
Capcom has apparently struck a deal with Disney to once again allow the sale of DuckTales: Remastered.

After being removed from marketplaces last summer, Capcom today announced that DuckTales: Remastered is once again available for sale digitally.

In case you weren’t aware, DuckTales: Remastered was removed from all digital storefronts last year when Capcom’s license expired with Disney, which was what allowed the publisher to sell the game in the first place. Some six months later and Disney has seemingly once signed a new deal with Capcom that has allowed the game to be sold once again on all platforms it was previously available on. Of course, if you already owned the game before it went away last year, you would have still been able to freely download it. This situation only affected those who hadn’t bought the game previously. Prior to it being delisted last year, Capcom ended up putting DuckTales: Remastered on sale to encourage more purchases of the game.

DuckTales originally released from Capcom on the NES back in 1989 and was met with adoration from fans and critics alike upon its arrival. Over twenty years later, Capcom opted to remaster the game for modern platforms and ended up releasing the latest version in 2013. Much like the original game, DuckTales: Remastered was met with positive acclaim from a variety of outlets around the world. If you haven’t played the game before, it still likely holds up quite well here in 2020.

DuckTales: Remastered is available right now on PS3, Wii U, PC, and Xbox 360 (which is playable via Xbox One).
