Kojima Productions is teasing some sort of announcement for next week, and it could be related to Death Stranding.

A tweet posted by Kojima Productions seems to indicate an announcement of sorts is planned for next week.

The tweet features an image of the studio’s head of communications, Aki Saito, sitting at his desk. If you look closely at the pad he’s writing on, it says “next week.”

It was followed up by a tweet featuring an image of Jay Boor, the company’s global head of marketing and communications, on a video call with Saito.

It’s quite possible the tease could be related to Death Stranding. Just last week, Hideo Kojima dropped a 45-second trailer of the game in the style of the film 1917. Kojima could just be a fan of the film and made a video resembling it, but he too as been known to drop teases on Twitter.

If an announcement is indeed coming next week, it could be related to the PC version of Death Stranding, or there might be the possibility of DLC coming for the title.

Kojima Productions announced back in October 2019 that the game would be released for PC during summer 2020. Spring is almost here, which means summer is just around the corner, so it’s possible we’ll get a release date soon.

As far as DLC is concerned, the studio hasn’t announced an expansion for Death Stranding, but it wouldn’t be entirely out of the question. You never know what Kojima has up his sleeve.
