Assassin's Creed: Syndicate is free to claim on the Epic Games Store

Epic Games Store has put on offer Faeria and Assassin's Creed: Syndicate to claim for free this week, taking the place of Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Aztez.

Faeria is a turn-based strategy card game featuring a dynamic “living” playing board. It was conceptualized in 2005 with development starting in 2010 through a Kickstarter campaign that raised almost $100,000. It finally saw its launch as an Early Access title in 2016, followed by an official release in 2017, and was received well by critics and players alike, praised notably for its depth, balance, and visual style. Here’s how the Epic Games Stores describes it:

With its unique living board, Faeria is also the only card game where you can gain all 300 cards in less than 50 hours.

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate is the ninth title for that franchise, released as a sequel to Assassin's Creed: Unity. Set in the Victorian era London of 1868, the title incorporates and features a number of figures from the time such as Alexander Graham Bell, Karl Marx, Charles Dickens, Duleep Singh, and Charles Darwin. It’s also the first title to introduce a grappling hook, which received a mixed response. Here's a brief description of the title by the Epic Games Store:

London, 1868. In the heart of the Industrial Revolution, play as Jacob Frye - a brash and charismatic Assassin.

Epic Games Store is offering Assassin's Creed: Syndicate for free to players on Windows, while Faeria is on offer for both Windows and macOS. It is, however, also available for Linux via Steam where it is priced $24.99 at the time of writing.
