Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Takes 35-40 Hours To Clear, Per Famitsu

We’re close to the next major Dragon Ball video game release with Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. The game is a little different than what we’re used to, being a RPG instead of a fighting game and will cover Goku’s adventures through the entire Dragon Ball Z saga. It’s a lengthy amount of material to cover (even without the filler the original anime was known for, it was one of the longer running anime/manga of the time), and it seems the game will have a length to match that.

In the recent review from Japanese magazine Famitsu (as complied by Hokanko-Alt), there was high praise for the game’s recreation of the beloved stories as well as the breezy gameplay and exploration. They also say that it takes 35-40 hours to complete, and even surpasses the 100 hour mark when tackling the various side content.

The game’s marketing has leaned heavily into the nostalgia aspect of the Dragon Ball Z series, and it seems it will at least be an appropriate adaptation in the sense of amount of content when the game releases on January 17th.

This sure is good news for fans, but even better for the true fans is over 100 hours of content. That's insane!
