Razer shows off a “true gaming laptop”

4.5
Hardware engineers at Razer seem to have found a niche in the videogame laptop market. While most laptops designed for gaming either sacrifice performance for portability or vice versa, Razer believes that their newest creation, the Blade, is the best of both worlds. Weighing in at just under seven pounds and less than an inch thick, the Blade is certainly easy to carry around. Razer’s laptop has also got it where it counts, as it sports a Intel Core i7 processor along with an NVIDIA GeForce graphics machine and a 17″ monitor to display the eye candy.

“We’re proud to co-develop this revolutionary gaming laptop with Razer,” said Intel VP Mooly Eden in a statement, “Utilizing our fast Intel Core i7 processor, the Razer Blade delivers top-class gaming performance in a portable form factor.”

The whole marriage of performance and portability is very nice, but what really sets the Blade apart from other laptops is its Switchblade User Interface. Located to the right of the main keyboard, the SUI lets players map important commands to extra easy-to-access buttons. It also includes a little LED screen that can display heads-up information so the player can analyze data more efficiently.

The Blade will launch in North America later in the year, in the fourth quarter, with a rather steep $2799.99 price tag.

Specs sucks balls.. I mean sure it would be better than most normal desktop computers.. But, come on.. This thing will eat your battery power like shit.. Personally I would pay for it if I was rich as crap.. But, I'm not.. So listen.. Do what I did long ago and anyone else.. Just buy a crappy desktop and buy stuff for it to make it insanely good.. Or.. Build your own amazing gaming computer for only 400 dollars, pounds and euros.. Whatever.. It is much better than this piece of shit that is going to fail majorly..
