Terminator Resistance is a New First-Person Shooter Based on Film

Reef Entertainment is set to release Terminator Resistance in November for those in Europe and December for North America.

For one reason or another, the Terminator franchise has been all the rage in the video game space this year. First, we had Sarah Connor and the T-800 make their way as guest characters into Gears 5 and soon we’ll have Arnold Schwarzenegger’s version of the T-800 model coming to Mortal Kombat 11. In the midst of all of this, we now have a new, officially licensed game based on the Terminator franchise set to arrive this year, too.

Announced today by Reef Entertainment, Terminator Resistance is a new first-person shooter developed by Teyon. The game takes place some thirty years after Judgment Day and is set in Los Angeles. You play as a character named Jacob Rivers who has supposedly been designated by corporation Skynet to be terminated.

In addition to being able to blast T-800’s apart left and right, Terminator Resistance is also said to boast skills that you can level up and side quests to complete off of the beaten path. You’ll also be able to utilize stealth or hack your way through certain scenarios if needed. Multiple endings are also said to be in the cards, meaning that your actions will have consequences.

As for when Terminator Resistance will be launching, well, it depends on what region you’re in. The game is set to release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on November 15 for those in Europe. If you’re in North America like me, you’ll have to wait a bit longer until it arrives on December 3.
