Here’s an hour of Halo MCC Firefight gameplay on PC

4
While there’ve been some bumps in the road getting us there, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is still well on the way. The flight test for Halo Reach Firefight was delayed due to some unforeseen bugs, but it’s still making progress, and 343 Industries has taken the opportunity this week to showcase a full hour of gameplay footage from Firefight.

In short, it looks exactly as you’d hope – it’s Halo’s familiar ‘combat puzzle’ gameplay, but with the more precise controls afforded by mouse and keyboard support. The developers discussed some of the features not directly shown, too. FOV options have been upped to 120, and you can individually choose the setting for aiming and vehicles, as noted on Reddit.

Similarly, frame rate is still currently capped at 60fps, so bear that in mind if you get into the next flight – it’s set to offer an uncapped option by the time the game is available. The flight offers access to Beachhead, Corvette, and Holdout maps, as VG247 notes, but there’s still no official word on when it’ll actually go live.

This flight will be followed by a Reach PvP test for Xbox players, then a Reach PvP test on PC.

I am entirely looking forward to this coming to PC! I mostly played console my whole life but this would give me an excuse to put more time in on my gaming PC :)
