Star Citizen Passes $231 Million In Crowdfunding

It’s hard to believe that after all this time, the long in development Star Citizen technically isn’t out yet. It’s not even in Beta, the playable versions that’s launched have all been Alpha builds, but it seems to have struck a cord with people, because they are giving money to the project still, a lot of money.

The developer announced today that the crowdfunding for the game has now passed a staggering $231 million dollars USD. The game had already broken all kinds of records for its crowdfunding, and it doesn’t seem like that’ll be changing anytime soon.

Along with that announcement they released a new video to highlight some upcoming content. The developers walk us through concept art for the various NPCs the game will have, such as waiters, barmen and some bounty hunters. We also get to tour some of the in development ships that are coming. You can check it out below.

Star Citizen is currently in development for PC in alpha build.

For a game like this? Now this is insane amount of money making, I didnt think a game like this would make cash. When a game like this is made, now in days you can make any type of game and it will probably sell alot.
