Only a few hours after revealing the first official gameplay footage of Nightwolf, Mortal Kombat 11 director Ed Boon revealed just when we’ll learn more about the game’s upcoming DLC characters.
In a new tweet from Boon, it was confirmed that a new trailer for the Kombat Pack, the name of the package which includes all of the game’s upcoming DLC characters, will release on August 21. This new trailer will seemingly show off all of the characters that will be included in the pack that we haven’t seen as of yet.
As of now, the fighters within Mortal Kombat 11’s Kombat Pack includes Shang Tsung (who is available now), Nightwolf, Sindel, and Todd McFarlane’s character, Spawn. There are two other characters that are slated to be joining the Kombat Pack lineup as well, but they haven’t been revealed just yet. Come August 21 though, that will have changed.
Even though Bruce Campbell himself has shut down these rumors multiple times, many fans still expect that the character Ash from the Evil Dead series will be one of the DLC fighters revealed for MK11. The original trailer which detailed the Kombat Pack a few months back contained the sound of a chainsaw at the video’s conclusion, leading people to believe this. Plus, previous datamined info from the game has seemingly indicated as much, too.
Ahead of the reveal of these new fighters though, Nightwolf is set to finally join the roster of Mortal Kombat 11 in Early Access later this month on August 13.
Mortal Kombat 11 is out now on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. The game’s Kombat Pack retails for $39.99.
