For anyone watching Microsoft’s press conference at E3 this year they will undoubtedly remember the unforgettable moment when Keanu Reeves graced us with his presence and then left us all breathless. The Cyberpunk 2020 fan who started it all with his very public display of emotion for Mr. Reeves and then landing himself a free Collector’s Edition of the game in the process, has now asked the devs for help donating to a children’s charity instead of receiving the title.

Initially, the devs sought Peter out and offered him the game as a kind gesture saying “and it got you a free #Cyberpunk2077 Collector’s Edition on top! Check your DMs”. Sark responded to the offer saying “that would be awesome, but how about donating a Go-Kart through @GamersOutreach to a Children’s Hospital instead? That would be #Breathtaking”.
Seemingly, CD Project Red was happy to help Peter, DM’ing him in reply to say “of course we can also go ahead with your idea. Cool move!” with his request but unfortunately, members of the public weren’t as happy and fired back at Sark saying that he was “trying to stronghold the company.”, being “rude” and “ungrateful”.

One user tweeted that “On one hand, nice idea, on the other hand, it’s not cool to reject somebody’s goodwill and ask them for more, CDPR did nothing wrong to making them look like douchebags for offering a free copy of a game.” while another said “You know what would be more breathtaking? If you sell your version of the game on eBay and donate the money for charity, then you would do something breathtaking by yourself and not reject a gift and ask for something else, which is more expensive.”
It seems as though Peter’s forward-thinking and initially good intentions I’m sure, have obviously come across badly but he is sticking to his guns and using his five minutes of fame for something he feels is worthwhile to him. He replied to the negativity with “Life is sometimes bigger than just video games. Take the time and research the amazing work @GamersOutreach does for kids. #YoureBreathtaking”
