Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary trades avatar armor for pre-order

4.7
Master Chief isn't the best at planning ahead. Think about it: When have you not known the guy to land on a planet with just two guns and no secret pouch of ammo? The plan always seems to be some variation of "I'll find some grenades and a Wraith and I'll just figure something out."

If you'd like to buck his example and be fully ready for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary with a pre-order, you'll be rewarded with the exclusive "Grunt Funeral" skull. Even if you're not huge on pre-orders, the idea of activating Grunt Funeral and seeing grunts exploding with the force of plasma grenades every time they're killed may be too much to resist.

Perhaps more enticingly, pre-order customers will also be given Master Chief Avatar Armor, so even if they lack John 117's spontaneity they can still share his fashion sense.

Battlehammer I really wish people would quit **** about Reach's multiplayer. I've been a Halo veteran since the day Halo became Halo and I fully support Bungie's decisions for Reach. It's my favorite game in the franchise so far. The series needed some improvements (yes, they are improvements) like the armor abilities. It helped make the series feel fresh again. Some people just can't stop living in the past and think that Halo gameplay should always remain the same. We wouldn't want Halo to become as stale as CoD now would we?

Halo is by far the most balanced FPS on the market. How are armor abilities any different from killstreaks in CoD, or leveling up to earn better equipment, guns, and armor in any other FPS?

Answer - They aren't different. Halo's multiplayer is based purely on skill, not getting kills by luck with perks and killstreak rewards. Besides, Bungie made it VERY easy to kill people using armor abilities like armor lock. You just have to use a little strategy.

HOLY SHlT! Someone here has brain. People scream for something balanced, and when something balanced comes...no no no no.... they scream because they realize theres no way they can use the games unbalanced features to be cheap and win (example: MW2 UMP, BLOPS AK-74, etc..)

Why did you bring up CoD and how much "skill" it takes? There was no reason to.

the multiplayer will be an addition to halo reach like the halo 3 ultimate multiplayer experience from ODST

TTG_Avenged OK, I admit it. This looks better then what I thought 343 could do. I HATE the way grunts look in here.

I heard some **** about multiplayer having jet packs, armor lock, etc. If so, I think I'm going to be taking this game back for MW3.

Sadly...yes, it will probably have that. They said they are going to make the multiplayer have the Reach engine. I thought it would have bin cool if they used the Halo: CE engine.
