This week marks the 25th anniversary of the release of The Elder Scrolls: Arena, the first entry in the long-running fantasy RPG series which released on this exact day back in 1994. To celebrate, Bethesda has a whole slew of activities planned beginning today with giving away one of the most popular games in the franchise for free.
As of today only, Bethesda is allowing anyone to download The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind completely free of charge on PC. To get Morrowind for yourself, all you have to do is have a Bethesda account and type in the code “TES25TH-MORROWIND” when logged into your account. After doing this, Morrowind will be added to your game library completely free of charge.
In addition to giving Morrowind away for free, Bethesda has a whole slew of other sales and activities planned for this entire week to celebrate The Elder Scrolls series. Bethesda is also marking down a variety of other TES titles throughout the week across various storefronts along with holding a few streams throughout the week to play through some entries in the series. And for those who will be at PAX East later this week, Bethesda has some special panels lined up to talk about to franchise’s legacy.
