Call of Duty: Elite Could Support Modern Warfare 1 & 2

4.4
As it stands, when Call of Duty: Elite launches later this year, it will support two game: Call of Duty: Black Ops & Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. But a recent report suggests that Activision is still pondering the possibilities of incorporating functionality for previous Call of Duty games as well. Two of the biggest games that are still being played to this very day are Modern Warfare 1 & 2 and in a recent interview OXM, the Beachhead Studio boss told the magazine that they are currently weighing the possibilities for the service.

"We haven't ruled anything out yet, but we've been laser-focused on Black Ops implementation, and more importantly, instrumenting the service to support every game that comes on from here," the developer told the magazine.

"The challenge is cracking open the old games, because it only works well when it's built next to and within the game," "We'd love to do it in theory, but in practice it's a lot harder than it sounds. The focus is first to get it right on our current ones forward, and then we may make the decision to go back at some point."

Call of Duty: Elite is a mixture of premium and free services for the Call of Duty fan that provides stat-tracking, competitions, video creations, and other features in the not completely revealed program that is scheduled to launch later this year.

So why the hell arnt they going to do this to my favorite cod which is WaW? Nobody plays it because there are so many damn hackers. You go into a game and when it starts, its instant attack dogs with people flying and god mode with all weapons. Putting cod elite into waw will fix it bring the people online from 7000 hackers to about 39000 real players, which is the same amount of people that play on cod 4. Trust me, this will help out WaW because before the hacks, there were about 39000 people online.

this whole cod elite thing might keep the leaderboards clean from hacks

At least include mw2 in this is will still be played as cod4 was still played after mw2 came out.

NotBreathing why support cod 4 when it's so hacked ...

If you actually read around they've already said they are planning a patch for cod4.

SiKaRioZ I hope that feature is free cus that rly aint worth paying yet

its not going to be free because they said on inside xbox once u buy it u get all the MW3 map packs for free once released
so im guessing that it would be around 20 - 30 or $32 - $48

If you did a little more searching you would have found they stated that it will be less then most other internet subscriptions IE Netflix which is only 9 Dollars.

they said the elite service is free, but if u want the premium version of it, you would have to pay. But to get the core of it is free

Nice gesture. But until they can insure the leader boards are clean, there's no point. Just use it on BO and MW3, for all they know the gamers might end up hating the system.
