Thimbleweed Park is free to claim on the Epic Games Store

4.2
Thimbleweed Park is this fortnight's free game on the Epic Games Store, replacing Axiom Verge. A point-and-click adventure title, the game originally released in March of 2017 following a successful $375,000 Kickstarter campaign.

It is developed and designed by Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick as a spiritual successor to their previous games Maniac Mansion and The Secret of Monkey Island from the late 80s and early 90s; sharing much of the gameplay and art style, with music composed by Steve Kirk of the Star Wars: The Old Republic fame.

Here's how the Epic Games Store describes the title:

A haunted hotel, an abandoned circus, a burnt-out pillow factory, a dead body pixelating under the bridge, toilets that run on vacuum tubes... you’ve never visited a place like this before.

In Thimbleweed Park, a dead body is the least of your problems. Switch between five playable characters to uncover the surreal secrets of this strange town in a modern mystery adventure game from the creators of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion. The deeper you go, the weirder it gets.

Epic Games Store is offering both Windows and macOS versions of the game for the next two weeks. However, it is worth noting that the game is also available for Linux from Steam, where it costs $19.99. There's also the "Unbeeped" DLC available on Steam that restores censored words present in the main game's story. It is, however, a paid DLC.
