Rumor: Xbox & PS3 Talking Partnership with OnLive

OnLive is a Cloud based gaming service that forgoes the traditional distribution methods that console gamers have grown accustomed to over the years. The no-download, no-disc service allows gamers to get in and play the latest video games streaming from the internet. OnLive has had marginal success standing on its own two feet, but recently, rumors have surfaced that the cloud based gaming service is in talks with Microsoft and Sony for a possible partnership in the future.

A representative for the company told MCV
"There are OnLive guys chatting Sony and MS, but we'll see where it goes. But it would absolutely work, we're ready to work with everybody." "What people are realizing and waking up to is everything could be a console, why shouldn't you be able to take your game everywhere. I think the timing of this is perfect. When I joined the company I didn't think it was going to pan out this way."

no cause how onlive works is you pay full price for games or you pay 10$ a month for older games all you want to play.

The Only Reason PSN Is Free Is Becuase It Goes Down For Like 1 And A Half Months

Since cloud is on the internet, if you get banned can you still stream the game and play it? And what if your internet goes out, then you just bought a game and you cant play it offline because the game is only playable with internet?

I really do NOT see a good point with cloud gaming. Honestly, I'd rather have everything stored on my hardrive not being held hostage by someone else on some persons server. Imagine if your internets down, No gaming for you. No thanks, I'd prefer to stay with things going on my own hard drive.

hahaha u obviously don't know what onlive is, it's like a gamefly but better, if the xbox and psn had this it would be absolutely amazing it will defeat the purpose on having a games on demand menu, I completely agree with all them they should move foward on this!

Non of that made much sense beside that Onlive is like Gamefly but online.
