'Halo Infinite' Has Learned From Past 'Halo 5' Mistakes, Says 343

4.1
When Halo first released, it was ground-breaking. It was the title to have, the Xbox exclusive that really carved out a name for the Microsoft platform. As is the case with many ongoing series, eventually it began to falter. Some found that the series was losing what made it feel special, while others felt that it was just beating a dead horse. The transition from Bungie to 343 was one that was met with a mixed reception, and conflicting opinions only seemed to grow.

With Halo Infinite on the way, the team over at 343 Industries is reflecting back on the series thus far, admitting that they've made some mistakes along the way. 343 Industries' Justin Robey recently opened up during a studio stream about Halo's tumultuous history and how they've used that to make Infinite better.

During the stream, which can be seen here, Robey said “Halo is one of those franchises that we have a lot of players who are probably going to come back when we release Halo Infinite and we just want to make sure as it gets in there that people aren’t lost, which is one of the things that people complain about with Halo 5. So it’s making sure there’s enough meat and awesome for the fans and that at the same time it’s approachable for people who are coming back in.”

Though we don't know much about Halo Infinite other than the small look we had during E3 and a few tid-bits here and there afterwards, what we do know has been impressive so far. We can't wait to see all of the new revisions the team keeps talking about, and how they are bringing the story back to Master Chief.

is the mistakes of halo 5 that it wasnt a halo game at all? are they going to do a true halo game like halo 4 that everyone really wants, not the halo 4 we got which is by god known as no content halo?, honestly though how the fk can halo still be going when master chiefs adventure ended in halo 3? but hey if inifite is going to be a true halo ie halo 1 2 and 3 like gameplay fk yeah lets go bud if its going to be another call of duty/battlefield game like 5 and a crappy game like 4 then we dont want it, but considering 343 fixed mcc quite alot they should work with that system instead, other then that no faith in hi as 343 will just make another halo skin cod/bf game again

Looking forward to the next game. Hope they figure this all out.

The only thing that could make this game good is to completely return to the roots, remove things like thrust, spartan charge and keep the competitive modes at the front. Add things that made the skill gap higher, like BXB, BXR double shot, slide jumps, bounces etc. that's what made halo fun in my opinion.

Idk what's worse they fact this news came out literally weeks ago or the fact y'all didn't even embed the stream just the e3 trailer... either way, it's not something to believe in with all your hearts, 343 has destroyed a lot of what bungie built with halo

Well hopefully this one's actually good

Everything 343 has done with Halo has been a mistake. Not expecting anything to be different with Infinite

Hopefully this game is legendary
