Report: LulzSec hacking group releases Xbox Live, Facebook login info

4.4
Adding to the list of game-related companies it has attacked, LulzSec yesterday claimed to have stolen and leaked the login and password information for approximately 62,000 "internet accounts," reports the CBC. The stolen info is said to comprise logins/passwords from Facebook, Twitter, "dating sites," PayPal and, notoriously, Xbox Live. It is also claimed that the majority of accounts are from the United states, though several other countries are named in the report.

The account database info is still currently available through the LulzSec website (though we'd suggest not visiting) -- various folks on Twitter responding to the group claim to have done a variety of things with the information, from having a large pack of condoms delivered to an elderly woman, to one person saying they bilked a PayPal account for £250 ($404).

Earlier this week, the group attacked and successfully took down a handful of game industry websites, including EVE Online, Minecraft and The Escapist. All three sites quickly recovered and have been online since. Microsoft has yet to respond to request for comment on yesterday evening's alleged breach.

Guys quit being paranoid, if you think your account was hacked. Go into his released account info and do a CTRL+F search for your password/email account.

If it isn't there, chances are your in the clear. (unless they have all the accounts and only released partially)

These guys are a waste of talent. Hopefully they get locked up for a long time. Too bad they could not have used there skills properly and put them towards making the internet a more safe and reliable place. Instead they make it more vulnerable and ad to its already poor reputation for this kind of behaviour. Enjoy your "lulz" instead of all the cash you could have been making legally dumb F***'s.

priceless,.. this is probably the most fun the internet has been since its release. These people release good stuff for everyone to download. They have made it public for you to see. When this was released i downloaded almost immediately, not to **** with people, not to see everyone password (which i notice, people are extremely lazy - 123123)I d/l it to see if one of my many emails landed on that list (which they didn't) So i could protect myself. But man to funny, amazon account with 15 dildos order to your address bahaha lulz.

I hope they exposed all these **** companies for keeping our information right there for the grabbing.

Its like tattooing your credit card number on your chest, anyone that is smart enough to lift your shirt can see it.
