Call of Duty: Black Ops: Annihilation Map Pack Confirmed

With an official multiplayer preview, a seemingly random tweet by Xbox Support (wat?), and a very bland looking news story from investors.activision.com, the Annihilation map pack has been confirmed for release. The map pack will feature four new multiplayer maps, Hangar 18, Drive-In, Silo and Hazard, and one new zombie map, Shangri-La, an exotic and mysterious map filled with deadly traps, dark secrets and innovative gameplay that will challenge even the most daring Zombie hunters. The map pack will be available for Xbox Live purchase on June 28th, 2011 for the price of 1200 Microsoft Points. Additionally, to celebrate the upcoming release of Call of Duty®: Black Ops Annihilation, Treyarch will host a Double XP weekend beginning Friday, July 1st. The multiplayer preview can be viewed below.

Oasis Looks like the sweetest map pack yet. Hanger looks like an awesome map. I don't get why the soft reveal, but seeing as they managed to get three packs out this quickly who's to say they won't push for one or two more before MW3 comes out.

Dude, that's exactly what I was thinking. If they can get two map packs out in 2 months, just think how much more they can squeeze in before MW3. It will be ridiculous.

Wow this one looks better than every other mappack that ever came out for any Call of Duty game. I hope they dont start raising the price of the MSP becuase then i will stop buying this ****

Last double xp weekend I prestiged 3 times and I'm now 11th so maybe I can finally finish black ops on the next one on July 1st! Hopefully

Joy, double XP, who really gives a f*ck? What treyarch should really do is make the maps only 400 msp, better yet, EVEN FREE.

But no, treyarch feels the need to squeeze all the money out of us that is physically possible. Sooner or later they'll make you pay for game sessions, just wait.
