Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Update 1.2.0 is Out Now

3.8
The latest update for last week’s release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has arrived, and hopefully, it’ll iron out some of the many kinks players have had with the game’s online portion so far.

Patch 1.2.0 recently went live and according to the patch notes, they aim to further stabilize some of the frustrations with the game’s online. The patch notes say that this update will improve the stability in Battle Arenas along with now matching players up more closely with their preferred rule settings. Because of this, matchmaking could now take longer but you’ll be able to play with someone based more closely on the rules you want to be established.

Other additional inclusions in this update fighter changes to a handful of characters along with other various balance and gameplay fixes. The difficulty of approaching fighters has also been changed, likely due to many complaints that some of the fights to unlock characters were too challenging. This is a rather small update in the grand scheme of things, but hopefully, one that continues to improve the core game.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now exclusively on Switch. Keep an eye out for our review of the game which should be dropping soon.
