Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Gets Gun Game, COD Points, and More

4.1
When Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launched a few weeks ago, many fans thought that the multiplayer was missing a few extra game modes. Treyarch took those criticisms to heart and, during a huge update, decided to give fans a fan-favorite mode to screw around with for a few days: Gun Game.

For those that don’t know, in Gun Game everybody starts with a pistol. With each kill, players get a new gun until they’ve gone through the pre-selected list of 20, after which they win the match, which can lead to some incredibly intense gunfights.

The mode was originally introduced to the series back in 2010 with Call of Duty: Black Ops, and has been a part of every single entry since in one way, shape, or form, so it shouldn’t really come as a shock that it’s a part of this one.

In addition to Gun Game, the update also introduces a large number of changes to weapons, attachments, specialists, spawns, Blackout, and Zombies. You can check out the full list of changes on Treyarch’s Reddit post, which you can find by clicking here.

Treyarch also released another, albeit small, hotfix, which adds in COD Points to the game. This year, however, fans don’t spend them on Supply Drops. Instead, players can use them on tiers within the game’s Black Market. Each tier seems to cost around 300 COD Points each, meaning you’ll have to buy $4 worth of points just to level up one tier. If you bought the game digitally or if you got a special edition, however, you get at least 1,100 free COD Points, so use them wisely.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.

Maze Jeez, more stuff that has been in the games for so many years still not in at launch. Sad to see honestly.

party modes have only been in black ops 1 and 2 they kinda removed it in 3 but not fully, so no it hasnt been in cod for so many years only 8years lol, also arent you the one who talks trash about this game? or do you just spit out your opinion like i do with fornite(talk shit but likes the save the world aka original game) or am i thinking of someone else from a different forum, but seems like someone already stated it.

ot: now only if they added all the black ops 1 party game modes and ground war then the game will be completed atm to me i love it its one of the better treyarch games since bo1(bo2 sucks bo3 was meh) waw was good, but yeah the singleplayer(specialist story) is very weak compared to bo3 and bo2 and blackout it fun better then crappy fortnite since theres no building, and multiplayer is pretty solid for zombies thats a good version but sadly its bad due to the bsod and console crashes

Now if they could just add ground war.

Can't agree with you more, doesn't seem to be a good move on their behalf.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, they pushed this game to be released earlier than ever before, I think they were scared with all the AAA games coming out especially the ones with BR, and it really, really shows. So many problems, so many features not at launch, and I can only imagine what else they have to add.

That's the dumbest thing I've heard, that's exactly what Battlefield V is doing but guess what their BR comes out next year so you wanna talk about an unfinished game that was supposed to come out before call of duty there you go kiddo
