Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Servers Have Improved, Tick Rate Increased

3.6
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has come under fire in the last few days over its performance issues. While the game’s beta had a send rate of 60 Hz, players quickly discovered that the full game was performing much worse, with a send rate of only 20 Hz. Treyarch had promised last week that they’d be working on fixing this issue going forward, and it seems that’s reaping results.

As per a report by a Reddit user, the performance of the first person’s shooters servers have improved considerably. Apparently, the game’s running at a send rate of over 60 Hz (62, to be precise) on both PC and PS4. However, it looks like this is limited to the game’s multiplayer mode only (at least for now), as the send rate for its battle royale mode, Blackout, still seems to be at 20 Hz on both systems.

There’s no word on the Xbox One version of the game in the aforementioned report, but it’d be safe to assume that if the servers’ performance has been improved on two systems, the same probably applies to the third as well. Treyarch hasn’t released an update about any of this, so this isn’t an official report, and it’s possible, as the Reddit user mentions as well, that this could be a testing phase only, or that it’s being rolled out worldwide at different times- so depending on what servers you’re playing on, this change may or may not have come into effect.

Either way, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is doing very well for itself. It grossed over $500 million in revenue in just its first weekend, and analysts are predicting it will have crossed 20 million units sold by the end of this year.

Maze Really disappointed in CoD for having server issues this late in the series, but i guess it's just always bound to happen. I'm just glad they came up with a quick fix for it

LebronIs6 Why is there a picture of Blackout when that's not what the article is about ? The tickrate for Multiplayer was the only topic lol

What I'm saying is the tickrate changed for Multiplayer not blackout sir so clearly it should show multiplayer since the title is about the upgraded tickrate lol
