Destiny 2 Iron Banner Arrives With “Reprised” Crucible Map

The hype for Destiny 2: Forsaken has mostly been centered around the Last Wish raid, which was completed in under 19 hours by Clan Redeem. The machine keeps on chugging though with the next big event being Iron Banner. PvP players will be engaged in Control but this time around, Power advantages will be enabled.

But that’s not all that’s changing with this iteration. Bungie has announced on Twitter that a Crucible map called Convergence will be added when Iron Banner goes live. The map seems to be a reprised version of Pantheon, a classic Destiny 1 map that arrived with The Dark Below DLC. We’ll have to wait and see it drop before knowing the changes made.

Iron Banner will run for an entire week, starting from September 18th to 25th. Lord Saladin will offer seven weekly bounties to complete, each providing an event-themed reward. However, two bounties in particular grant “powerful rewards” which could be weapons or armour. Saladin will also have armour and weapons that can be purchased when their associated bounties are complete.

Just because none of your friends play it, it doesn't mean it's dead. The game is far from it I think even people that have said it sucks still play it

Games far from dead, over 100,000 active players on PC alone, just because your friends don't play it doesn't make it dead.


Agreed the game is far from dead. I have to get it yet after hearing good and bad reviews I think I need to play it for myself

I would definitely say Forsaken has revived it, at least for a little while. I only just got the game so have no real understanding of how bad the game was but I can tell you while playing CoO and Warmind that they were just as boring as the main game.

Haven't played this since the release of the 2nd DLC because it was just such a dead game and me and my friends lost interest in it completely. But I will admit they have been killing it with all these extras and this might slowly tempted me back into playing
