Pokémon Go Region-Exclusive Pokemon Will Be Available Worldwide

3.8
While eyes may be fixated on Pokémon: Let’s Go and its newly-announced adorable bundles, mobile game Pokémon Go is still alive and kicking. Niantic announced through their blog that some classic Legendary Pokémon from the Kanto region will be available to catch for all players through a new Ultra Bonus Event.

Professor Willow’s Global Research Challenge, as the catch-em-all game calls it, is made up of several events: the Dortmund Safari Zone event, Pokémon Go Fest, and the Yokosuka Safari Zone event all occurred throughout the summer.

As a “celebration” for the challenge, players will be able to encounter Legendary Birds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres from September 13 to 20. Additionally, Pokémon native to the Kanto region will be available in more real-life locations until September 30.

After the Birds have had their time, Psychic-type Pokémon Mewtwo will be available during Raid Battles for the first time ever—this will last until October 23, giving players plenty of time. Finally, Farfetch’d, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime, and Tauros eggs will be available until the end of September.

Look out for a future PvP update for the Android and iOS game by the end of this year.

That's cool that they're bringing out updates like this one.

Mikey Really cant believe this is still a thing lmao. I don't even know anyone who plays this anymore.

Does anyone on TTG play this still.

My IRL friend still plays and he's in a group chat with others that play too. It actually still has a community just not as big as when it first came out. I need to hop on and start playing again.

I don't personally, but where I work there is a pokestop, literally right in front of our food pick up window. Younger kids still play it just not very frequently, also a good amount of older people play it lol

They're catering to their players, which is why this hasn't died yet. They clearly know what they're doing and want to keep expanding the game with more Pokemon from newer regions, which no one really can complain about.

Petite Every time a news topic comes out people say this game is dead yet I was at a road like a day ago with easily 50+ people there

That's crazy I honestly thought it was dead

People still play this?

Damn I thought it died. I guess it's because I never see anyone playing it around where I live.
