Earlier this week, we finally got a release date for Bandai Namco Entertainment’s highly anticipated title Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. Following this announcement and the game’s appearance at Gamescom, another trailer gameplay trailer has been released for the game.

The gameplay featured in the trailer seems to be pulled from the same levels and moments highlighted in the release date trailer and looks just as thrilling as ever. Also, Brand Director Kazutoki Kono discussed finally unveiling a release date and some new gameplay for Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, and reaffirmed that the developers are working hard in order to meet fan expectations:

“The team and I have been working diligently to produce an experience that will add another action-packed chapter to the Ace Combat franchise, but more importantly, be worthy of your time. Thank you all once again for your patience, support and continued enthusiasm, we’ll see you in the skies soon!

While this Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown gameplay trailer is pretty short, but DualShockers’ own Giuseppe Nelva was able to record 10 minutes of gameplay of the “Long Day” mission at Gamescom.

Check out the game’s newest gameplay trailer below. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will finally take off and hit PS4 and Xbox One on January 18 and PC on February 1.
