Valve Confirms It Will Now Allow Literally Anything on Steam
Steam has been flooded by a deluge of low quality games, as well as games that attempt to incite controversy and are thinly veiled hate speech, such as Hatred (which, as the name might give away, is unveiled hate speech). Valve would be better advised trying to monitor what it does and does not let on its storefront, not give up entirely after some notable incidents have caused them to become the subject of ire.
That’s my take on it- Valve disagrees. Instead what Valve wants to do now is to allow each Steam user to customize their own experience for themselves. To that end, Valve will be building better tools to help ensure that everyone will only see games that are suited to their sensibilities. Which, again- okay, you know what, let’s give that a try. Automated algorithms have never been the answer to this problem, for as long as Valve has been trying, but let’s give this a concerted attempt with an open mind.
Meanwhile, I recommend people stop relying on Steam itself for game discovery, relying on outside sources to do that, and on Valve for simply purchasing the game.

I dont see why they wouldn't allow it in the first place? Yes some content is disgusting and so on but you dont't have to click on it?

Duskyy That's the way to do it. If content offends you just don't download it.
Agree, if you are not a fan or don't like the look of it then why bother downloading it, just leave a review once played.

But then it allows completly broken games on there too, agree with the offensive stuff but games that are plain shit and broken shouldn't be allowed on Steam

You can see game reviews, screenshots and videos of the game prior to purchasing and even get a refund if you have less than 2 hours. Poor quality games are easily avoidable, if a game offends you don't buy it. There's no reason for them to censor games on their platform I think their stance is perfect.
