The development team have revealed that a lot of new content is being released today, a the start of Season 8.

This will all be wrapped up in the big Rocket League update going live today, at around 6pm, BST.

Season 7 of the game will actually end a little earlier, with patch notes expected to land before the big update.

With the end of the Season run, players should get their first look at the rewards they have earned.

Psyonix have changed how rewards will work with Season 7, and while each Skill Tier still has its own unique Player Banner, the color and design of those Banners have been detached from the Tier they’re rewarded to.

Eligible Season 7 players will also receive up to three brand new Goal Explosions, including ‘Striker,’ ‘Striker Pro’ and ‘Striker Legend’ Goal Explosions at the same time the Player Banners.

Players will also see the release of a new arena today, called Salty Shores, which is being released ahead of the game’s next big event.
