Nintendo Switch is the fastest-selling games console in France

Just a week ahead of its official one year release anniversary, news has emerged that the Nintendo Switch has crossed a significant sales milestone in France- the console has sold 1 million units in the territory. It managed this feat in under a year, which also makes it the fastest selling console in France in history- tracking well ahead of the PS4 and Wii, which are the two other fastest selling consoles of all time in the country.

This should come as a surprise to no one- continental Europe has always been a strong territory for Nintendo, with France being their strongest territory there of the entire lot, and the system has been doing remarkably well there since its release.

The question for now is whether or not the Switch will maintain this pace of sales going forward, though for now, two months into 2018, it seems to be showing no signs of slowing down.

KyloCrux Biggest success Nintendo has had. Super proud of them and hope to own my very own switch soon.


Wouldnt say its their biggest success but for sure the Switch is up there on the charts. Nintendo is a great company.


The WII I believe was overall more successful so far, however, the switch has had the most consoles sold in the release stages.


The Wii has been out for years though, so ofc it would have sold more. The Switch will overtake it though if it carrires on like this.
