Xbox Live multiplayer free for all Xbox users this weekend

All Xbox Live members, regardless of subscription status, can play online for free starting today and through the weekend.

The latest Free Play Days For All incentive from Microsoft has started, which means those without an Xbox Live Gold sub can play online until Sunday, February 18.

This applies to both Xbox 360 and Xbox One users. The free play weekend will end at 11:59pm PST on February 18, which is February 19 at 2:59am EST, 7:59am BST.

Xbox users will be able to play any game which features multiplayer. This is a good time to try Rainbow Six Siege as it’s free to play this weekend, and Overwatch is also free to play this weekend.

Also, for those who like sports games, NBA 2K18 is also free on Xbox One for a limited time now through Sunday. Xbox Live members without a Gold membership can download the game starting today.

To be honest.. But this gives the players that dont have xbox live just a little tiny taste of what live feels like and maybe they will go back after the weekend and buy live. This is a great marketing tactic I would have to say.

It is a great marketing tactic but nowadays you can just get a 2-day pass (equivalent to this free weekend) for like a dollar on G2A.

Alot of people dont know abott G2A that play xbox though, this is really good and I would love to see the statistics of how many people bought live after the weekend.

Well of course no one really knows what G2A is but I was just stating a point. I have taken a look at the amount of members joining live but I thought it could have been better. Seems like people are already signed up for live as it is.

Oooh, this is an opener for a bunch of newbies to play some multiplayer games this weekend. I may have to jump on my Xbox and see whats in store with this. ;D

Mike I'm sure lots of people will be playing this weekend!

Probably a ton of kids who are new to xbox or just those single player guys who never play multiplayer will be playing online this weekend. Also, expect to see a lot of noobs in multiplayered games this weekend.

Mikey Damn too bad I'm away this weekend, hopefully, this will encourage people to join.

It should If people know about it. Alot of people with out xbox live wont know unless xbox sends a message to everyone or something. But this will show people that have never had xbox live what it is all about and hopefully they will buy it when it is not free anymore xD
