Monster Hunter World Was #1 Selling Game on the PSN Store in January

3.8
Capcom’s Monster Hunter gambit has paid off in spades- the game is the highest rated game in the franchise, and has already shipped 6 million copies worldwide, just two weeks out from its launch. So it should really come as no surprise to anyone that Monster Hunter World was also the most downloaded game on PSN for the month of January, beating out Dragon Ball FighterZ, which was the other major release for the month.

In the US, Dragon Ball ended up coming in at second place, with Madden taking the third spot, while in Europe, Horizon and FIFA were the number two and three games; Dragon Ball‘s omission in the European list is a bit perplexing, since anime and Japanese media has traditionally always done well in European markets.

Given just how fantastic Monster Hunter is, I am really happy at how well it has done. The game is available now on PS4 and Xbox One, with a PC release coming later this year. Meanwhile, check out the full download charts for PSN in January for yourself below.

Ninja Can't believe it beat GTA. & how far WW2 is down the list makes me laugh. Hate that gane.

WW2 was far from the best CoD, so im not surprised it wasn't top.

I played WW2 & BO3 to 200+ definitely comes down to then 2 for the best CoDs since 2016-2018.

Cent That's crazy, I really want to give this game a shot but I also don't wanna have to pay $60 lol.

The game was worth wild for the hour I played it. Really dont suggest to pay the $60 unless youre really into this game.

You wouldnt suggest getting it? I have heard great and horrible things about it. What do you think?

This is my problem at the moment not having the spare funds, I think $60 is way overpriced, but that being said the game does look incredible. This is the next game I will buy for sure, but I just wish they would lower the prices on all the premium games.

I'm only hr9 so far but the game is phenomenal. A bit of pain even linking up with friends but at the end of the day it works. I'd highly rwcommend it even if you're not a long time fan

Dragon This is not surprising at all. Monster Hunter World turned out to be a fantastic game. I see it growing in success in the future as well.

Have you played it? I want to know if it is actually good before I go out and buy it.
