Grand Theft Auto V Shipments Pass 90 Million Units

4.3
During Take-Two’s investor conference call, Chief Executive Officer Strauss Zelnick talked more about the performance of Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.

We heard that the game has passed 90 million units shipped, also thanks to the continued expansion of current generation consoles.

We also get the mention that 2017 was the best year yet for Grand Theft Auto Online, with an “epic December” in which the game had more active players than ever before. The game exceeded the publisher’s expectations during the past fiscal quarter and remains its biggest contributor for recurring consumer spending (IE: microtransactions).

The previous shipment milestone, at over 85 million units, was announced only in November, mentioning that the game shipped roughly five million units during the holidays.

Zelnick also announced that (unsurprisingly) Rockstar Games will continue to support Grand Theft Auto Online with more new content going forward.

Grand Theft Auto V is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. It was initially released in September 2013 for PS3 and Xbox 360, followed by a launch on PS4 and Xbox One in November 2014, and on PC in April 2015.

ImSoFarAway 90 million units, this game is still great game to play.

it has its ups and downs but its still a really fun game to play.

Yes, fun for about an hour or so. If you have friends to play with. Even then it gets repetitive and boring. Sucks that you have to buy actual money or spend hours on hours grinding for money to do anything..

You need to figure out what to do before playing this game. If you have an idea and stuff to do, you can play this game for hours. Its amazing to see 90 million units sold. Hoping to see 100 million in the next months to come.

Izuku Such a great game! 90 million is amazing though!

It really is a disgusting number to think about. But if we are going to think about how long it has been out then it kinda matches up.
