Fortnite Battle Royale Adds a Minigun and New Expedition Types

Epic Games continues its torrential update shower with yet another patch for Fortnite. These patches are a welcome sight, however, because they always seem to add a new item to the mix. Today, patch 2.4.0 was released, bringing a minigun into the mix.

In Battle Royale, the minigun can be used to control the battlefield with firepower alone. Sure, you can’t move around as swiftly while spraying and praying, but what are the chances you’re going to miss your target with that many bullets flying towards them?

Additionally, Save the World mode gets the Cozy Campfire, which was originally just in Battle Royale. It heals any ally nearby for 2 HP a second for 25 seconds.

This update for Fortnite also addresses the issue Epic Games put on the top of their radar at the request of a fan. The autorun feature is now able to be turned off and on by double-clicking the left thumbstick.

Lastly, new expedition types have been added to Save the World. This includes People Runs, which is a free to run expedition that allows you to gather a small amount of the “people” resource for your fort, and Trap Runs, which allows the gathering of traps. Epic has also made balance changes to existing expeditions, asking fans for feedback on the changes.

The last update to Fortnite introduced the Chug Jug, which completely heals players completely with the tradeoff of taking 15 seconds of uninterrupted chugging to complete.

You're right in a way. It is really popular because its free but the game isnt as laggy or buggy as PUBG, its building feature brings a lot of attention, and the graphics are 10x better.


Very true. PUBG is better on the PC not on console imo. It should have just stuck with PC. Fortnite is also alot smaller game comparing to Fortnite with the map and graphics and features. PUBG has more going on in the actual gameplay rather than Fortnite. But I agree building was a great addition to fortnite for sure.


True, I think PUBG only came to consoles to keep people happy, oh and the money. Mainly the money.

PUBG will always have better support on PC which is unusual for games of today, Fortnite for the time i played it at least is a very arcade game which gets boring, there's no sense of achievement when you get a kill since it seems so easy.


Every game will always be about the money, that's all it'll ever be. That goes for most Ganes>kills.

If this isnt the most truthful thing I have seen all day. I might go crazy. Everyone is talking about Fortnite and how good it is and like you woiuldnt even play it if it wasnt free....

already got the epic version of it and Id say its alright, not the best but it can destroy walls with just a few bullets but its damage isnt all that great unless your frequently close to them.
