Activision has been keeping quiet regarding the Call of Duty WW2 multiplayer map count ahead of the game’s launch this November. However, if files on the PC open beta client are anything to be believed, the upcoming first-person shooter will arrive with 10 maps on day one.

The map count was revealed via a Redditor named Trevormine, who posted a series of screenshots of what was claimed to be a bugged menu list. He managed to then stumble across a Map Select when trying to load a new game. This revealed a total of 10 maps for the title.

Four of the maps have already been seen in the Call of Duty WW2 beta. These are confirmed as Pointe du Hoc, Ardennes, Gibraltar, and Aachen. Another, Flak Tower, was later showcased at Gamescom 2017.

That leaves five remaining maps that we have yet to clap eyes on. These maps are rumoured to be titled as follows: Battleship, Cannon Farm, Carentan, France Village, and London.

Of course, these reports should be taken with a pinch of salt and are by no means official confirmation of the number of launch maps.



Nonetheless, 10 maps is a pretty low count for a Call of Duty game at launch. Furthermore, it has been suggested that one of the maps will be exclusive to the Pro Edition of the game. In other words, regular buyers will be stuck with only nine on release date.

The Call of Duty WW2 multiplayer experience will be complemented the all-new Headquarters feature. This acts as a central hub for players to interact in-between matches. It also provides gamers with various activities to take part in.

Call of Duty 2018 is rumored to take place in a modern setting despite the return to World War II with this year’s outing.
