Xbox One backward compatibility adds a huge batch of new games

4.6
A big new batch of games has just been added to the Xbox One backward compatibility program, and while some are small, others may just be the ones you’ve been waiting for.

As Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb announced in two tweets earlier today, the latest batch of games consists of six very different titles. The most exciting of the bunch is perhaps Saints Row: The Third, though there are plenty of other choices. If you’re down for some retro action, there’s Super Contra (originally released on the NES), while if you’re into horror, there’s Slender: The Arrival.

The other games consist of the unusual underwater shooter Undertow and the family party game Monopoly Deal. The last game of the bunch, Cyber Troopers Virtual-On, is a exclusive to Japan.

All of these games should be available to play starting today, September 14th. As always, if you already owned these games on the Xbox 360, you’ll be able to jump right in to playing on your Xbox One.
