Apple announces Apple TV 4K

Apple has just unveiled the new generation Apple TV, Apple TV 4K. The new set-top box features 4K output with HDR, Dolby Vision and HDR10, to play the latest movies and TV shows at 3840×2160 resolution.

Apple used a special projector in the theater to demo the ‘cinematic quality’ output. The company demoed the new Spiderman movie in 4K HDR.

Apple has new Aerial screensavers fully remastered in 4K HDR for users to enjoy.

The new box is powered by the A10X Fusion Apple chip, the same chip that is in the new iPad Pro. CPU performance improves 2x over the previous generation box.

Mickers God i don't want to splash out on 4K yet.

It's more then ready, all the HDR standards are there now so no reaon not to other then funds.

It won't be totally mainstream for a couple of years yet.

RepBandit Another thing to make apple richer than they already are. You already know their die hard fans will go wait in line like the dang phones and get them on release day lol

It's all big companies do, try make even more even if their products are washed up.

Musket Everything is becoming 4K now, it's hard to get a 4K tv because they are easily a grand if you want a good one

Most 4K TV's are around £300 so i don't know where your trying to buy yours lol.

Link? I agree with musket tho. I seem to find them all $800+. Saw a 32 inch 4K monitor (no speakers included) at Costco on a 40% discount for $299 if that's kinda what u mean

But Dolby Vision support is nice, shame it will be dead soon...
