PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Passes 1 Million Concurrent Users

4.3
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has become massively successful over the few months since its release on Steam early access, and today it reached a definitely relevant milestone.

For the first time in its history, today the game passed one million concurrent users on the platform, with the peak now sitting at 1,023,612 players, as you can see in the graph at the bottom of the post.

The battle royale shooter has been edging the milestone for a while, but it finally tipped over into the million realm just a short while ago.

Designed by Brendan Greene and published by Bluehole, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been breaking records and taking names, and doesn’t seem to want to slow down.

Just a few days ago it passed ten million copies sold, which for an early access game is massive, and at the end of last month, it passed Valve’s own DOTA 2 in concurrent users for the first time. While the two games edge each other every day depending on the time of the day, PUBG has definitely bigger peaks as of late.

Recently, Bluehole and Microsoft Studios launched a partnership that will bring the game to Xbox One later this year, while no news have been provided on a possible release for PS4.
