Michael Pachter has had a lot to say about the Xbox One X, and its possible performance once it releases later this year, recently- and now, speaking on Twitter again, he noted that while he doesn’t necessarily expect the system to outsell the PS4, he does expect it to outsell the PS4 Pro.

The PS4 Pro, while not having set the world on fire, appears to have done very well- Sony consistently reinforces that the system has performed better than expectations, and apparently, worldwide, 20% of all PS4 systems sold since the PS4 Pro launched have been PS4 Pro units. Given that, it sounds like Pachter does expect the Xbox One X to do well enough- though, of course, time frame matters here. There is, of course, the possibility that that he only meant that for this Holiday season specifically.

How the Xbox One X performs will be very clear when the system finally launches on November 7 this year.

The Pro, yes, the PS4, no.
