A huge series makes its Xbox backward compatibility debut

4.3
The collection of Xbox One backward compatible titles has grown once again, with two new games joining the lineup today.

First up is the first Metal Gear game to join the lineup, though it’s perhaps not the first game that comes to mind when thinking about that series. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is an action spin-off that takes place after Metal Gear Solid 4 and stars Raiden as a katana-wielding cyborg.

Of course, Revengeance was the first title in the series to debut on Xbox 360, following long history of PlayStation exclusivity. Not like Microsoft had much choice here — though we’re hoping it means 2011’s Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will join the BC lineup soon.

The next game on the list is Screamride, a combination construction simulator and puzzle game that gives players completely destructible roller coasters to play around with. Interestingly, this game is already out as an Xbox One title, so its addition to backward compatibility just means that you’re now able to play the game off of the Xbox 360 version.

I read "a huge series" and thought it was the Halo series. Never been a fan of Metal Gear Solid, though; I'm sure it'll have success since it has quite a big fanbase.

From what I'm seeing, I'm not the only one who hasn't played any of this series, might pick it up and try it out and grind the G.

Might actually pick the series up, I've never played any games and I'm dying for a new console game right about now.
