Take-Two Interactive Dodges Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Question

During Take-Two Interactive Software’s financial conference call related to the first quarter of fiscal year 2018, President Karl Slatoff talked about the publisher’s stance on PC as a platform.

Slatoff mentioned that it really depends on the title, with some games that very fitting for PC like Civilization and Xcom, while others are less, so the publisher’s stance varies on a title-to-title basis.

That being said, they see the PC market as “vibrant,” a “great,” “big,” and “core” market. Users are highly engaged, even on an ongoing basis. So for Take-Two as a company the PC market is “very important and very exciting” and something they “focus on.”

Earlier in the call, Chief Executive Officer Strauss Zelnick declined to respond on whether the company is considering a PC version for Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2, mentioning that any updates for the title will have to come from Rockstar itself.

Zelnick also explained that there are no updates about the game for now apart from the company’s enthusiasm for the release in spring 2018.

Probably will be the same like GTA V, I'd expect a complete version on console before PC so I think it'll after it releases on console.

A console only game i'm betting which is unfair for PC gamer's.


same thing happened with gta v tho, they had no mention of it until months later

I hope it either launches on pc at the same time as the others or they wait long enough for me to want to replay the game after beating it on consoles. I need to put this 1080 ti to work.

They will probably do another double dip. Such a big studio, no reason they can't develop along side the console version. But alas, rockstar going to be dodgy as usual and try to shaft pc users
