E3 2017: Far Cry 5’s Gameplay Unveiled Alongside New Trailer

4.2
Last month, publisher Ubisoft and developer Ubisoft Montreal revealed Far Cry 5 with an official announcement trailer, that confirmed that Ubisoft was taking its popular Far Cry series to a place it never had been before: the United States.

In the first-person shooter open-world game, you’re facing off against an armed, radical cult based within Christianity called The Project at Eden’s gate, who have sunk their claws through violence and indoctrination into Hope County, Montana, where the game takes place.

Set in modern times, you play as a protagonist who is a junior deputy police officer in the fictional Hope County, Montana. Players will find that their arrival accelerates a years-long silent coup by a fanatical doomsday cult, called Project at Eden’s Gate. Quickly the county breaks into a violent take over between a resistance group and the cult. Your job: to help liberate the Hope County community and themselves.

All of that being said, today during Ubisoft’s E3 2017 presser not only was a new trailer released, but the gameplay was unveiled for the first time. You can check both out at the bottom of the article.

Another one of the few games showcased I'm looking forward to. Skipped FarCry Primal as it just didn't seem like my kind of thing, but definiitely looking forward to 5.

Looks good, played all since Far Cry 2. Graphics look awesome, in game options look quite detailed and the map looks big once again.

I was a bit surprised when they announced it would be in quite recent times but it makes sense and looks great. I'll almost definitely be getting it, though I hope the story is deep and there aren't too many side quests, though I would love for random events to occur.
