E3 2017: Xbox One X Specs, Size and Weight Compared with Xbox One S

4.2
Today, following Microsoft’s E3 2017 press briefing, the house of Xbox sent in a press release with the full spec sheet of the upcoming Xbox One X, including pretty much everything you may want to know, from the hardware components to the physical figures including precise size and weight, compared with both the Xbox One S and the original Xbox One.

Thanks to the spec sheet we learn that the Xbox One X is nearly the same size as the Xbox One S. It’s 0.5 cm wider, and 1 cm deeper, but being 0.5 cm thinner, it’s indeed just a bit smaller than its predecessor in terms of volume, just as Microsoft claimed.

That being said, Executive Creative Director Carl Ledbetter also mentioned that the Xbox One X is the most tightly packed console Microsoft ever built, and that reflects on the weight, which is 2 lbs heavier than the Xbox One S, and even 0.6 lbs heavier than the original Xbox One (but we have to consider that the first model did not have an internal power source), due to the fact that there is almost no empty room inside the shell.

You can see this and much more in the full spec sheet at the bottom of the post.

On top of the specs, we also get a batch of official pictures, showing the console compared against the Xbox One S, a nice look at the front panel and at the back panel with all the ports, and even a disassembled view showing all the main components of the Xbox One X.

I'm really liking the final product of the X. I have the original Xbox One and I like that there is now a usb port on the front of the console. I prefer using a wired controller and having a usb port in the front is going to benefit more for me the way my setup is. Even though it's such a small thing I really like it.

Like I've said in every other post it was basically a rearranged small console, who remembers the dev leaks? That thing was tiny..

EG6 "smallest console ever" Granted technically speaking it is smaller, but the way it was spoken about I had the idea that it was going to be considerably smaller than the S, either way I'm still likely to pre-order one.

The quote was the smallest xbox ever

Sleek and i love the matte black. Also the fans on the side is a great idea for those who stack stuff ontop of their xbox. I love the design and cant wait to pick one up!

Honestly love the look of the console, even if it looks not much different I will be pre-ordering this ASAP

Insane that they crammed that much more performance in the same size housing!

Looks the same, But all they really did was move the disc tray lower and made the console black and made it a tiny bit smaller.

Although it's going to be a little smaller, I enjoy consoles better when they are a bit thicker as it looks better, in my opinion. It makes it look more of a 'powerful gaming machine', but obviously a depends on the hardware inside.
