The speculation that God of War will make an appearance at E3 2017 is starting to look more like fact, thanks to a giant unfinished advertisement spotted in downtown Los Angeles.

Santa Monica Studio’s PlayStation 4 exclusive has been widely anticipated as a centerpiece of Sony’s E3 presentation, but the company has been silent on whether the next chapter of Kratos’ story will be featured. With preparations for the expo now well underway, the sighting of an unfinished billboard all but confirm our suspicions.



If the recognizable font and PlayStation 4 logo don’t make it clear, the faint tracing of the “a” and “r” in “war” can be seen, plus being a sleuth and squinting shows off the outline of Kratos below it. NeoGAF posters also pointed out this same building displayed an advertisement for Horizon Zero Dawn, another PlayStation-exclusive property, last year.

While Sony hasn’t revealed what it has in store for fans this year at its E3 press conference, this should act as a giant indication that God of War will be part of Sony’s June 12th presentation. Hopefully, an official release date will be given, as both the Kratos voice actor’s and a German retailer’s leaks of a possible 2018 launch window haven’t been confirmed.
