Watch a Nintendo Switch get thrown from 300 meters and survive

4.6
The Nintendo Switch is a very popular console that a lot people still can’t find at stores. It’s also a hybrid, offering both on-the-go play and traditional home consoles experiences.

In this video from YouTube channel UnlockRiver, we get to see the Switch dropped from a 1,000 foot height, that’s just over 300 meters. To do this, they attach the console to a drone, and release at 1,000 feet.

The Switch actually survives the drop, despite it looking it was torn into many pieces. It’s not in a great shape, and one of the Joy-Cons is broken, but it works.

The blue joystick/pad whatever took the hit and broke if it had've been more to the center it wouldn't have survived. Still tho surprised it did survive and work perfectly. Seem to be very popular atm

It didn't fall as fast as it would of if it wasn't flat, like a piece of paper the wind hitting the amount of surface area that it has slowed it down, plus the blue controller piece more than likely absorbed all of the impact.
