Destiny 2’s Gameplay Event Won’t Feature The Xbox One Version

4.7
As you might have heard by now, Bungie will be hosting a special gameplay event for Destiny 2 a little later this month, with a few folks attending in person and the rest watching online. It sounds like it’s going to be a great event, and now, the developer has provided a few more details in terms of what to expect from it.

First off, along with a keynote presentation and live gameplay, Bungie will also be showing off how the PC version of the game works, since the original was not released for the format. As for consoles, though, it appears that we’ll only see the PlayStation 4 version of the game, and not the Xbox One edition.

In regards to this, Bungie provided some more details “You might have noticed that we’re inviting some special guests from the media and our community to be part of a live audience for this premiere. They’ll be among the first players to get some hands-on time with Destiny 2 immediately after the conclusion of the livestream. The PS4 and PC versions of the game will be on display, so you should expect another wave of news, coverage, and content to dig into after the event is over. “

While this may be of some disappointment for Xbox One owners, not to worry – your version of the game will be just fine. It appears that Bungie is focusing specifically on these two platforms for good reason. First, it’s establishing the PC base for the game, something the original missed out on. And then there’s Activision’s agreement with Sony, which already spreads over enough into Call of Duty, and likely includes this. As a result, we could be seeing exclusive content come to the PS4 version of the game, just as with the original release.

Whatever the case, there will be a lot to see when the livestream takes place on Thursday, May 18th, at 10 AM PDT. We’ll have the full details here on our page, so be sure to check back for anything you might have missed. It’s sure to be a treat for Bungie fans.

Destiny 2 releases on September 8th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

How bungie kinda just ditched Xbox like that. They were loyal with the halo games but now that all out the window

I'm so happy that Bungie is doing great after all these years. I really wished they continued with Halo as 343 have no clue what the fck to do.

Kixa Doesn't bother me its the same thing it probably just looks better on the PS4.

It will look no different... the reason will be because if two factors...

1. PlayStation have the exclusivity...
2. PC will need the most work because of the ability of loads of combinations of hardware meaning that they will have to make sure that it will have to be stable...

My hopes are that it doesn't get frame locked on the pc hate that.
