GTA 6 And Red Dead Redemption 2 Will Mark The End of GTA Online

4.5
If recent rumours are to be believed, then the Import/Export DLC released for GTA Online in December is going to the be the last one, and barring a few updates, Rockstar are going to stop supporting the title as the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 draws closer.

Yan 2295, who has leaked quite credible information related to Rockstar and their games in the past, such as leaking Red Dead Redemption 2 or recently reporting that an LA Noire remaster might be on its way, recently talked about this in a blog post, saying that Rockstar will be releasing updates for a while “just to keep it alive” but nothing else apart from that.

“GTA Online updates are going to slow down this year,” he said, “to then stop around the time RDR2 will release. Apparently Rockstar North is “divided” in 4 parts as of right now,” he further added. “Some people are helping San Diego with RDR2, some people started working on the next GTA, and some people are working on another game. So you’re left with only a few people to work on GTA Online. You can’t have updates as big as we had in the past when you have 4x less devs working on GTA Online, that’s just impossible.”

Take this with a grain of salt for now, but it does make sense. Stay tuned and we’ll keep you updated.

kittyderpy GTA Online us boring garbage anyway. All they throw at us is weapons, cars and buildings that are too expensive to ever afford without some serious grinding or buying shark cards. No actual content. I wish the single player DLC came... It'd be actual content for once.

Online is boring? Single player is boring, you can play through it a few times and it will be enjoyable but there is always something to do online. Literally me and my friends can piss about killing each other, going on roadtrips or just messing about doing random things and it has endless replay ability. Grinding for money isn't as bad as you make it out to be, play through all the heists and you can buy an office and get close to a vehicle warehouse, play through some more, mix in VIP work and you get the vehicle warehouse, from then on its plain sailing. I have made like 3mil from vehicle selling and I wasn't even grinding 'hard' I was playing FIFA a lot at the same time and mixing with college and work. People say money is hard to get but it really isn't.

I've played through the online heists hundreds of times. Why would I want to play that even more? It gets boring. Messing around is not endless replayability, that gets boring quite fast. The Single Player is of course going to get boring playing through it a few times. I play through it once and it was really fun the first time, of course the second time isn't going to be as fun. That's what the Single Player DLC would resolve. More missions, more story. 3 million in that game is nothing. Sorry, but it's really not. The game is designed to make you purchase shark cards or spend much more grinding. That 3 million will get you what? A new car?
