The DLC is called Not a Hero, and it’s supposed to contain its own story chapter separate from the main narrative. Though it doesn’t have a release date yet, Capcom has promised that it’ll be free for all fans.
Finishing the game and sitting through the credits will offer fans a teaser image of the DLC, complete with a “Coming Soon” message and a very spoilery image.

As seen in the image above (provided by Eurogamer), the ending shows a picture of the man calling himself Chris Redfield, who makes a cameo appearance towards the end of the game. As fans of the series will know, Redfield is the star of many of the past Resident Evil games.
However, the picture teased at the end of the credits doesn’t look much like the Redfield we know—so either he got a major redesign, or there’s a deeper deception going one. The Not a Hero title also seems to imply foul play at work.
Whatever the answer to the mystery, we probably won’t find out until the DLC is released. According to some sources, it’ll be out this spring, though there’s no definite date yet.
