Modern Warfare 3 could be next on Xbox One backward compatibility

4.5
It looks like the next Xbox One backwards compatibility games have been revealed. Microsoft launched a new page for its Black Friday sale that lists off discounted Xbox 360 games that are also playable on Xbox One, with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on the list

These games have not been announced for backwards compatibility. Microsoft typically announces additions to the catalog at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET, so a formal announcement could come soon.

Oblivion would be the first Elder Scrolls Xbox 360 game playable on Xbox One. Modern Warfare 3 would join other Call of Duty titles in the backwards compatibility catalog like Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops, and Call of Duty: World at War.

On the Xbox Feedback site, Modern Warfare 3 has more than 111,000 community votes for it to be added into the backwards compatibility program, making it one of the most-requested titles. Oblivion has more than 55,000 votes, putting it in the top 15.

Oblivion ($4.94) and Modern Warfare 3 ($15) are marked down right now as part of Xbox Live's Black Friday sale, which began today. Check out this post to see a rundown of other discounted games.
